What can 4 year olds draw?
4 year old children will start to draw patterns as a representation for something. Their drawings might include shapes, crosses and letters.
If they are drawing a person, they will also be able to add details such as eyes, arms, fingers and trunks.
At age four the drawings of the child are more realistic and detailed than before.
The child can draw shapes such as squares, circles, rectangles and possibly triangles.
At age four the child is between the Scribbling and Pre-Schematic drawing stage.
At this stage, kids draw what is important to them.
